Now that Nissan UK is finished with the dog-and-pony promotional show for the Nissan Juke-R, it's free to do what we've all been waiting for: hand it over to The Fourth Estate for proper testing. AutoExpress was the first in line, and they didn't waste the chance, pitting Faust's CUV against the car that made it possible, the Nissan GT-R, around the Bedford Autodrome circuit.
We could tell you more, but this isn't the time for words – the long-awaited action is in the video after the jump. Still want more? There's an article to go with it over on AutoExpress.

IBx27 That was boring. We want a drag race, or a head-to-head track thing.

AcidTonic I'm confused. I thought the executives didn't approve of this whole Juke-R project and were basically upset this flagship technology was transplanted into a different car.
So now that it's been showcased and continually brings new attention to the Nissan brand, they have done a 180 and suddenly they endorse such behavior.
Yet another sign executives are *completely* out of touch and have no idea what kind of marketing attracts true enthusiasts.

That was a PR stunt - they were not really upset. It was done to give the project a "Bad Boy" image.

k_m94 There is just so much WIN with the Juke R. Really silly, spending probably close to a million dollars of development money making a GTR taller, heavier, slightly slower, and a bit uglier. But who cares? It is pure engineering magic: Come up with a goofy idea and go to town with it.

Agent55 Wow, a comparo-vid that actually takes place on a road course instead of a stand-alone drag race?! I'm baffled.
